He was Formally Arrancar #69 but was Promoted to Espada #9 after Aaroniero's death, after becoming an Espada he changed his Jacket. He's normally cheerful and friendly around Aizen and the other Espada but when alone he's very laid-back, however he still acts childish around Grimmjow. He normally doesn't like to battle if he doesn't have to and tries to avoid fighting weaker opponents, ofcourse he will fight anyone for Grimmjow... and Aizen too. During Battles Ryuga is a Berserker and becomes very Sadistic and likes to extend his opponents suffering, basically torturing them
